Shipping

Shipping charges include freight, packaging, and insurance. We usually prepare your order and ship it within a week or less of receipt, but cannot guarantee a specific turn-around time.


We can only ship to the following states:


AK, AL*, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NE, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY


*Alabama: Shipping is legal only directly to ABC stores.


(If you live in a state we cannot ship to, you may wish to obtain an account at a California wine storage facility, where we can ship wine to you any time you wish. Contact us for details.)


Please note that, due to our uncompromising standards of quality and excellence in our wines, we only ship via FedEx 2-Day Air and UPS 2-Day Air (excluding orders to the California Bay Area which are shipped via UPS Ground). We only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays. This is to ensure that wine is delivered to you before a weekend. Please contact us if you have a special request.  Due to extreme temperatures, we do not ship wines to certain states between May and October, unless specially requested. Please contact the winery directly to make arrangements.


A proposed shipping date is provided at the time of purchase, although weather holds may affect the actual date of shipment. In the event a hold is placed due to weather, our staff will communicate this information to you by email. If you are concerned about the timing of your wine shipment, please contact wine@larkmead.com to discuss alternative options. 


In accordance with FedEx/UPS and state regulations, we can only deliver wine when an adult signature is obtained. We strongly recommend using a business address for your shipment. Wine cannot be left at the delivery address without a signature under any circumstances. Also, we cannot ship to a P.O. Box.


It is the Purchasers responsibility to manage their shipment. An adult of legal drinking age (21+) must be there to receive and sign for all shipped alcoholic beverages. Larkmead Vineyards is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. When the common carrier takes possession of Your wine order, responsibility for the wine transfers to You as the purchaser. In the event you miss your timed delivery of wine, it is the purchasers responsibility to contact the carrier and make new arrangements. In the event your wine is returned, it is the purchasers responsibility to make new arrangements for their wine to be shipped. New shipping charges will apply as well as any third party transit fees imposed by the carrier on the winery for the returned inventory. If this missed delivery results in your cancelling your order, the cancelled order policy applies as noted.

Winery Pickup Members
For the few members that we still allow to pick up their wine at the winery, your order will be held for up to 2 months after the wine is released for pickup.  After that time, if you have not collected your wine, we will ship the wine to the shipping address on the member profile and those shipping charges will be charged to your credit card. The above cancelled order policy applies should you decide to cancel your order once it is sent to fulfillment. 






Returns

We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality products and service. Your satisfaction is our top priority. If you are dissatisfied with your order, please contact us within seven days of the date of your order for customer care assistance.

If you cancel your order after it has been sent to our fulfillment center, a 25% restocking fee will be applied before a refund is issued. Please send an email to wine@larkmead.com if you need to cancel your order. Once the wine has been received at our warehouse, we will refund your credit card account for the cost of the wine less shipping, third party transit fees imposed by the carrier, and the 25% restocking fee. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the refund credit to appear on your statement.  If the original shipment was damaged or flawed you will receive a full refund, including shipping and handling charges.

All wines sold are maintained at optimum conditions. We consider wine to be out of our control once it has been handed over to the shipper and we cannot be responsible for improper storage after it has been delivered. Therefore, once your wine order has been picked up by the common carrier for delivery, the wine becomes your responsibility. We are not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions during shipment. We also cannot accept returns for the following: wines that do not coincide with personal tastes, wines that have been adversely affected by customer storage, and wines that have been otherwise damaged as a result of any other adverse condition occurring while the wines were in the your care.
